The Team

Three partners.
One standard of work.

Great Lakes Design and Renovations is Ben, Joe, and Craig. Three partners who've worked together long enough to know each other's standards — and show up to the job together.

Who We Are

Built on referrals,
not advertising

Most of our new clients come through people we've already worked with. A neighbor calls because someone on their street mentioned us. A past client refers a family member. That's how we've grown, and it shapes how we do the work — knowing that the next job may come from how this one goes.

We take on kitchens, baths, basements, decks, built-ins, repairs, and the jobs that don't fit neatly into any category. If it can be done well and the scope makes sense, we'll talk about it.

The Partners

The people who'll be in your home

Different backgrounds, same standard of work.

Ben

Partner

Ben has a sharp eye for detail and a straightforward way of working. He's usually the one asking the questions that catch things early — and he's just as focused on how a project finishes as how it starts.

Joe

Partner

Joe has been in home improvement for a long time, and it shows. He keeps things moving and has good instincts when a job gets complicated — the kind of calm, practical thinking that's hard to teach.

Craig

Partner

Craig has more than 20 years in construction. He's worked on just about everything, and that range shows up when a project gets into territory other contractors haven't seen before. When something unexpected comes up, Craig is usually the reason it doesn't become a bigger problem.

How We Work

What we think good renovation work looks like

The work speaks for itself

Most of our clients come from referrals. We'd rather earn the next job than advertise for it. The goal is always a project you're glad to talk about.

Honest communication throughout

When something changes, or we find something unexpected behind a wall, you hear about it directly. No surprises at the end, no avoiding the hard conversation.

Respect for the home

We're in someone's house every day. That means taking care of the space, communicating clearly, and treating the job site the way we'd want ours treated.
